I’ve been kind of busy around here so I haven’t spent quite as much time on Pinterest as I usually do. One thing caught my eye recently though…you might have seen it:
My little ones L-O-V-E yogurt so I thought this would be a fantastic summer treat for them that was also fairly healthy. So, I thought it would be a perfect candidate for a Pinterest projects feature.
I grabbed a cup of yogurt that I had at the house to get started.
I dumped it into a plastic bag.
I also covered my cookie sheet with some plastic coated freezer paper. I probably would have used parchment paper but I didn’t have any and I figured the freezer paper would work just as well.
I cut the tip off of my plastic bag and just made little circles of yogurt on my cookie sheet. I wasn’t really particular about the shape or anything.
Then, I put them into the freezer for awhile. After about 30-45 minutes, I pulled them out and checked to see if they were frozen.
The kids loved them! My only issue is that they start to melt pretty quickly so could definitely get messy fast. Otherwise, I would definitely call this experiment a success and I think you will find these little frozen bites in our freezer for awhile!

ooohh! those look really yummy! thanks for linking them up to my tip-toe thru tuesday party!
I’ve been thinking of trying this too, but I always wondered about the melting of them. I wonder if there’s a way to keep them a little longer?
They look so good!

My kids would love those. I read {somewhere else} that they melt fast but I think you made yours a bit bigger than the other ones I saw and that was probably a smart idea. They’re really a fun idea!
I’ve wondered how long these would stay frozen! Love your idea of using a plastic bag to pipe the yogurt onto the sheet — would be so much faster than dropping with a spoon. I would love it if you would consider linking to Busy Monday at A Pinch of Joy, a Sunday through Thursday link party for ideas that make life easier, better and more fun!
This looks like such a fun idea for the kids. I’m going to pin it. I love finger food snacks myself.
Happy to be co-hosting Ginger’s party with you. What a great turn out we’ve had.
YUM! What a great idea! I would love for you to share this (and any other creations) at my new linky party “Pin It and Win It Wednesday” at http://www.cheapcraftymama.com!
I just made these a few weeks ago too! I think you saw them on my blog! So YUMMY for a summer treat! And they are healthy too! PERFECT!! Thanks for sharing at Thursday’s Temptation.

I like this idea. I make homemade yogurt, so I’ll try it with that. It looks like it would be refreshing in the summer! I’m glad I saw your post on the Friday blog hop.
I want to make some of these for my kids this summer! Maybe I can figure out a way to do it so they can make them!
I can totally see this being perfect for a hot summer day out by the pool. I wonder if bits of fruit would freeze nicely in it too? Thanks for sharing!
What a great idea. I will have to try it. I like the idea of having a ready healthy snack on a hot day. Thank you so much for sharing.
My kids are going to love this. I can’t wait to give it a try.

Looks good! I might have to try that, even though I don’t have kids!
Great idea…I wonder if you could do this with Greek yogurt which is a bit thicker?
I can’t wait to try this! Yum!
Oh! I saw this on Pinterest, I’m glad to see it works! I am definetly going to give it a try!
Would you consider sharing this and any other ideas at my party?
