Morning Energy from Cereal

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Honey Bunches of Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It is no secret around here that I get up early and go hard all day long.  By bedtime, I am exhausted and really only make it through the day thanks to some major caffeine.  Of course, picking good foods to fuel my day is important too and that starts with breakfast.

No one in my family really has time for a sit down breakfast so we tend to turn to cereal or muffins to get our day started.  Recently, we had the opportunity to try Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy cereal in both Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch.

School is back in session for most of us which means our world are filled with school supplies, homework, packing lunches and backpacks.  The beginning of school doesn’t have to be the end of fun crafting though.  In fact, I’ve rounded up five awesome Duck Tape® crafts that are perfect for back to school.

Ham and Swiss Lasagna Rolls

This post originally appeared over at Love and Laundry but I wanted to make sure you all got to see it too.

Lasagna is one of those dishes that are easy to put together and always a crowd favorite.  Traditional lasagna is filled with creamy ricotta, tomato sauce and delicious mozzarella cheese.  For a twist on this traditional dish, I changed up the sauce and cheese and rolled them into lasagna rolls versus making a layered casserole.

We have a little thing in my office called Tasty Treat Thursday.  Basically, each Thursday, one of our team members brings in something to share with the rest of the team.  It ranges from things like cookies to full on lunches.  On a recent Thursday, one of my team members brought in something that I just had to make at home because I knew my kids {and husband} would love it: Tater Tot Casserole.

{Guest Post} Nautical Rope Hurricane DIY

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Today, I have an awesome project from Anne who writes the awesome blog, Circus Berry.  I am so in love with her nautical rope hurricanes and she is sharing a great tutorial with you here today :)

****************************************************************

Hello Just Us Four followers! I’m Anne from Circus Berry, helping out Shannah while she takes some R&R time and I am thrilled to be a part of her guest posting crew this month.

I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist-turned-business owner and blogger, living the American dream outside of Buffalo, NY with my husband, our two children, and our dog Mojo. I am a perpetual crafter, decorator, and inventor of reasons to have celebrations…everyday. I have a passion for food, sunshine, fitness, alt rock, flavorful drinks, things that sparkle, and the color blue. The Circus Berry blog is an extension of my party-styling and concept design business, where I share all things related to living and loving life. Thanks for coming!

The nautical theme is pretty popular right now, and with it all things wrapped in rope. I personally love the idea. I have a dream of spending summers in Rockport, Massachusetts someday, decking my coastal home in all things New England, beach, and nautical. In the meantime, though, I will just deck my front porch in that style.

To add to the front porch collection, I crafted these quick (and inexpensive, relative to the store-bought originals) rope-wrapped hurricanes.
